Spy Cam Scenarios – Wildlife in my Garden

Scenario:

I have lots of wildlife in my garden, how can I record it without disrupting their habitat? I would like something that could potentially record at night, for when foxes or badgers come out, but also something that I can watch on my PC.

 

 

Solution:

The most suitable camera would be the Wireless USB Receiver and Colour Camera. Being a wireless camera it is possible to place it anywhere without the fuss of worrying about cables. The fact that it is so small and lightweight means you can always change the position depending on the weather or the type of wildlife you think are visiting. Records colour during the day and black and white at night and with up to 50m clear line of sight. In the dark it has 5-7m of night vision you would be able to see the wildlife at night and also be able to hear them as the camera is audio enabled. The camera connects straight to a PC via a USB cable and can broadcast live up to 30 frames per second. It even has a feature that will send an email or even a text message when motion outside is detected! This is all included in the software that comes free with the camera.

These days we spend hours planning improvements to our homes, whether it be new furniture, interior design ideas and makeovers, but rarely do families and households think about the security of their homes. From a CCTV perspective install a CCTV camera on the front of the house to keep not only an eye on the children playing in the front garden, but protect your car in the driveway and monitor the front of the household. The visual deterrent of a CCTV camera should be enough to scare an intruder away, but make sure the back and sides of the property are also monitored. You can record the footage straight to a hard drive should you ever need evidence. Another CCTV measure you can take is installing a peep hole camera so that you don’t have to open your door to unexpected visitors, you can check their identity before allowing entry.

It is important to remember that CCTV coupled with an alarm system, security lighting and window locks are the most effective ways of keeping intruders at bay. When you consider the relatively small expense you have to pay, in which you can achieve crystal clear images of your surroundings, it is well worth investing.
