DVR Video Recorder - Standalone DVR- HD DVR
At the heart of every modern CCTV surveillance system lies a standalone DVR responsible for recording and processing feed from each surveillance camera. When purchasing any HD DVR for use with spy camera equipment it is important to remember that the quality of the footage the DVR recorder captures is still limited to the specification of each CCTV camera connected to it. Therefore we sell standalone DVR packages for use in a wide variety of applications from home security equipment to professional surveillance equipment. Each DVR recorder we sell can also be used with a spy camera for applications where discovery of the DVR security system is not desired.
The pricing of a DVR security system is decided by a few main features. The number of Frames-Per-Second (FPS) the HD DVR is rated for describes how smooth the footage will appear when played back. For example a 4 channel standalone DVR that has 100 FPS, will take in 25 FPS per surveillance camera connected (the same rate as standard TV). Secondly, when purchasing a HD DVR is the type of compression the DVR Recorder uses to compress the footage it records. For example, a DVR security system uses typically one of 3 different video compression technologies to save hard drive space: MJPEG, MPEG-4 or H.264. Our H.264 DVRs can squeeze almost twice the amount of footage in the same amount of hard drive space, making them well suited to public venues where recorded footage must be kept for a minimum of 30 days.
