The main drawback with the majority of standard surveillance cameras is that their point of focus or zoom cannot be easily adjusted once they are set up in place. This is why we sell PTZ cameras or Pan Tilt Zoom security cameras specialised for this purpose. PTZ cameras can be rotated 360 degrees, look up and down 90 degrees (180 with a full revolution) and offer up to 22X true optical magnification making it productive CCTV equipment. These CCTV security cameras are perfect for CCTV security camera installations where a large area must be surveyed or where surveillance cameras are required to observe a large crowd such as in a shopping centre or car park.

PTZ cameras can be physically connected just as easily as any other dome security cameras. They take a BNC connector cable for the video feed and a standard 2-pole power adapter cable. The PTZ commands are carried to the cable via separate 2-pole cable connected to a pair of crimp-style connectors. The PTZ surveillance cameras can be controlled either with one of our DVR video recorders or a specialised PTZ controller that looks similar to a joystick. The PTZ controller lets you control up to 255 CCTV security cameras and lets you switch quickly between each security camera connected.
