Hidden Camera Pinhole Camera Night Vision Camera

A night vision camera is suitable when there is little or no light available from external sources. Depending upon the application a wireless surveillance camera with night vision may be the most suitable solution. How well a CCTV camera will see in the dark depends upon the LUX level; 0 LUX will see in complete darkness, 0.01 will see in about a quarter of moonlight and 1 LUX in a full moon. Most of our pinhole cameras have 1 LUX so do need some light but with the addition of IR LED's the wireless spy cameras will see in complete darkness. If the spy camera is meant to be hidden then its better to have a lower LUX level so the LED's are not apparent. You will find that all a pinhole camera needs is a hole of just a few millimetres to hide behind so this is a true wireless Spycam !

Not all night vision cameras are tiny; often it's the larger CCTV camera which will provide the best picture at night. A good wireless CCTV system will be able to see in complete darkness due to the array of LED's around the lens. Depending upon the quality of the LED they will be able to see up to about 30-50 meters, anything over this distance becomes too far away and a wireless CCTV camera nearer the object is a better solution, this can be multiplied with a complete wireless CCTV system for those dark corners or just the ease of installation! During the day most wireless surveillance cameras are full colour but will then switch to black and white at night as this provides the optimal image. Colour at night is not used as it doesn't provide a clear enough image and requires more light.
