The CCD camera is part of our GAMUT WHITE range which is dedicated to providing high quality surveillance equipment for and affordable price. All the internal electronics in this camera are manufactured by SONY (Super HAD), which gives you excellent quality video in full daylight or in complete darkness thanks to it's with 36 infrared (IR) LEDs at up 30 metres. It also features a varifocal lens, allowing it to either be configured for a close-up, zoomed in view or a wide angle view to survey a large area.

The aluminium casing and robust 360 degree adjustable mounting bracket which can be locked in place with the supplied Allen key, makes these cameras vandal proof as well as British weather proof unlike a lot of competitor brands which use plastic or metal for the casing making the cams far more susceptible to corrosion from moisture, deformation from hot weather, vandalism or accidental damage. In addition the cameras have a compact and unobtrusive design making them suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

The high specification 4 channel Digital Video Recorder (DVR) supplied with this CCTV kit is full of advanced features. It uses h.264 compression (the same compression used by BBC iPlayer as well as YouTube HD videos) in order to record video small in size but high in quality. When combined with its massive 320GB recording capacity, this DVR gives you the confidence to leave it recording unattended with the peace of mind that it will record for months without overwriting important footage. Additionally it has 100fps recoding (25fps per cam), 4 channel video with 4 channels audio giving you unbeatable value for money.

The DVR unit has 3 programmable recording modes in addition to standard continuous recording mode to increase capacity even further; Motion Activated mode where the system only records when it detects motion on one of the cameras, Weekly Scheduled mode lets you select what hours throughout the day in a week the system records and on which cameras, finally the Sensor Triggered mode allows for almost any type of sensor to be attached to the system and used to trigger recording e.g. the unit can be wired to detect movement from the infrared sensors of your burglar alarm.

The 4 channel DVR recorder and 4 SONY CCD camera system is simple to set up through a standard TV (requires Audio and Video inputs), LCD TV / HD TV and/or 4:3 monitors. The DVR has a VGA output on the back so it can also be connected to a PC monitor. An adapter cable can also be used to set up a secondary surveillance point or display as a deterrent for shoplifters. All camera channels can have their image adjusted (Brightness, Contrast, Hue, Saturation) additionally, live feed from each camera can use up to 4X digital zoom for close-ups.

The DVR is also fully network compatible which allows the DVR to be accessed on your LAN or the internet from anywhere in the world using a PC or Mobile that supports WAP / 3G. Once the system is set up, accessing it is easy. You simply type the address of the DVR into Internet Explorer, Firefox or browser of choice like you would a website address and log in with a username and password that you set on the DVR.

Once it's set up, you can log in and watch live feeds from the cams, play or download previously recorded footage onto your computer, have full control over Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) cams, adjust settings etc. as if you were in front of the recorder. This is ideal for keeping an eye on your property from home for example if you own an office, shop, garage etc. However, the low entry price also makes it a perfect home security camera package too.
