The excellent value 8-channel Digital Video Recorder (DVR) is packed with features to provide great versatility for recording your surveillance camera system. It's compact size and excellent recording capacity gives you peace of mind where ever it is used. The cameras are a good balance between hidden and visual deterrent systems. The robust shell and appearance are very professional and can be used outside a large property in a commercial yard, shop forecourt, car sales forecourt, timber yard etc.

These high quality infra red CCD waterproof CCTV security cameras give 420 lines of image quality. For the price, you're getting a very professional looking SHARP chip CCTV security camera package that will give day and night, rain or shine coverage. Each camera is supplied with a neat little 360 degree mounting bracket is provided so you can attach the camera and point in any direction.

This package also includes an 8-channel Digital Video Recorder (DVR), which is fully network compatible so you can log in and watch the 8 video channels via your internet or Intranet. This is perfect for a variety of reasons including remote office working, monitoring/training new sales people etc.

This DVR is all signing all dancing and has a variety of superb control functions to incorporate the use of alarm system sensors, PTZ cameras (pan, tilt, zoom). Each camera channel is independent and can be fully adjusted to enhance the image quality to suit the location (brightness, hue, contrast). If you run the DVR unit in low resolution mode with all 8 cameras recording continuously, you will receive over 4 days of (101 hours) coverage before the unit begins recording from the beginning again. Unlike a VCR, the neat over-write facility means the system will run uninterrupted until you need to review footage, should an incident take place.... So no changing of videotapes!

You will get a minimum of 43 hours of recording capacity when all 8 cameras run in high quality mode, so if your yard, warehouse, field or other space requires continuous coverage on all 8 cameras you will get nearly 2 days of recording capacity.

NOTE: this is if all 8 cameras run 24 hours a day. Of course if you run the DVR in motion detection mode or sensor trigger mode, you can extend this coverage to weeks or months (depending on peripheral activity). If you need more capacity on the hard drive, we suggest you consider our 500GB models, which will double the recording capacity!

These systems are perfect for home use or in and around shops and small to medium commercial yards (indoors and out). The cameras are big enough to be seen (as a deterrent) but small enough that they can be tucked away minimalising valuable space usage. In fact, one of our customers installed them to monitor his valuable racing pidgins!... maybe the wily old fox will be scared that the police will put together a fox photo fit and somebody will recognize him!

The 8 channel CCTV recording system is simple to set up through a standard TV* and is compatible with wide screen and 4:3 monitors. Once your security cameras are connected, the screen can be set to display individual pictures, QUAD display (4 channel display) or all 8 channels on one screen. In record mode, the DVR unit has a number of flexible features provided through a simple menu system including motion detection on all 8 channels.
