This high specification 4 channel Digital Video Recorder (DVR) is packed with features. It provides versatility for recording your surveillance camera systems, CCTV camera security system and hidden cameras. It s compact size and excellent recording capacity gives you peace of mind where ever it is used. We were amazed when we found it as it has 100fps recoding and 4 channel audio, 4 channel video which was unheard of for DVR s of this price. Normally you would do well with 1 audio channel and 50fps! So, for the money, this is a great value 4 camera DVR security camera system with features and specifications you d expect from a DVR at twice the price.

The 4 channel DVR recorder is simple to set up through a standard TV*, wide screen LCD and/or 4:3 monitors. If your using it in a shop as a business security camera system, you can display a second monitor to deter thieves S-Video which is supplied when you upgrade to VGA. You can also add a VGA output to a PC screen or LCD screen.

The DVR can be made fully network compatible, so once it s set up, you can log in and watch the 4 CCTV cameras via your intranet or internet from anywhere in the world. Once you have downloaded and installed the plug in required for Internet Explorer to view the DVR, you can log in and adjust settings, download footage, playback and watch footage etc. as if you were in front of the recorder. It s actually quite spooky! This is perfect for a variety of reasons including remote office monitoring/training new sales people, covert surveillance, commercial security system etc. However, the low entry price also makes it a perfect home security camera package too.

Once your wired or wireless security cameras are connected, the screen can be set to display individual pictures, or as a QUAD display (4 channel display). You can even run a Picture in Picture mode (PIP) which allows you to view a mini screen within a full screen. CCTV viewing at it s most flexible.... Even Channel 4 s Big Brother team would be proud of that feature!

In record mode, the DVR unit has a number of flexible features provided through a simple menu system. It is also easily operated by a mouse, remote control or straight through the control panel. The DVR has a built in motion detection recording function. With 4 scheduling record modes (continuous/motion activated/scheduled/Sensor triggered), it can be modified at anytime to cover a 24-hour period. This significantly increases the recording capability of the unit. The sensor triggered record functions can also be set up so the unit will record when your IR sensors for your burglar alarm detect movement.

With the sensor trigger, motion detection and network compatibility this is an exceptional unit. The motion detection is configured so that you can zone out certain areas using a grid system. This means that if you have a tree that blows in a breeze and triggers the DVR taking up disk space, you can zone it out. In addition, it has the ability to operate Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) cameras through it s menu system making it a professional little unit. PTZ cameras currently cost an arm and a leg, but its good to know you can upgrade in the future should you wish to.

Digital Video Recorders are replacing the usual time-lapse VCR because of the improved recording capability of the digital unit. The unit listed has an neat function that provides continuous recording. When the units memory is exhausted it will start to record again from the start.
