The camera is located on the side of the Smoke Detector and is so small that it can be mistaken for a screw hole! It's high Resolution 1/3" Colour CCD Camera can be placed anywhere in the house and provides clear visible unsuspecting viewing.

There are three ways of viewing the camera, one way is when the device is connected to a Router and accessed over the internet by a laptop or computer, the second is when the device is connected to a Wireless Router, over the internet through the power of 3G and accessed by a mobile phone, or when the device is connected through the Video or DVR line to a monitor. This is too much to understand of course!, so the product comes with full English speaking Instructions and guidelines to help with easy set up.

The best thing about the camera is that it can do two things at once, it's a fully functional Smoke detector and a high Tech surveillance camera all in one, so it can save your life, and save your valuables!! It uses Wi-Fi, 3G and an H.264 MPEG-4/AVC, obviously that makes no sense, but I can tell you, it's some good stuff! H.264 sounds damn right techy, but it's quite interesting to know it compresses the video in the same way BBC iplayer and YouTube compress and stream their videos, so it's pretty cool.

The thing I love about this device is the fact that a High Tech Camera, is hidden inside a fully functioning Smoke Detector... It's just so unpredictable! But it's perfect for Shops, at home, lock ups, anything that is known to have a Smoke Detector in it's roof.

Another advantage for this product is that it has built in motion detection to avoid pointless hours of recording, it will only record when movement is detected to also increase recording space, now that's some Tech!
