Full Description This high definition, outdoor CCTV camera captures video at 540TV lines and has infrared night vision. It is part of our GAMUT BLACK range which is dedicated to providing high-end, professional surveillance equipment at an affordable price. This unit uses a CCD imaging chip manufactured by SONY for high definition video in full daylight or in complete dark thanks to its 23 Infra Red (IR) LEDs which gives it 15 metres of nightvision.

This CCTV camera is protected by waterproof casing made from aluminium making the camera very resilient against the British weather unlike other units housed in metal casing which corrodes easily in wet climates or plastic which deforms and weakens in hot weather. The casing's robust construction makes it resistant to vandalism or accidental damage and comes with a top-mounted shield to keep the lens clear in heavy rain and the unit safe from falling debris. Its unobtrusive styling makes it discreet and able to be placed in a variety of locations without looking out of place.

The unit's robust mounting base is lined with a soft foam pad for surface grip. It can be attached easily to any solid surface with the 3 screws and wall-plugs provided. The unit's mounting bracket can rotate 360 degrees allowing it to be pointed in any direction and then securely locked in place with the included Allen key easily to make it vandal proof.

The camera's cable can be routed through the mounting bracket directly into the wall protecting it from damage or tampering or alternatively be run along the wall with cable staples. All our cameras are provided with a power adapter. However, you will need a BNC adapter to attach to an AV/RCA cable so you can view it on a TV. To connect to a DVR, a BNC cable will be required which we sell in our accessories section of the website.

This product is suitable for a variety of different applications: from monitoring of expensive goods at home such as a garage or drive, keeping tabs on shoplifters in a retail environment, watching for early signs of trouble in a nightclub or monitoring pupils in schools. This unit can be combined with up to 15 other cameras when used with a suitable Digital Video Recorder (DVR). Our DVR systems have motion detection to maximize recording time. Should you wish to simply monitor your premises and not record any footage, the camera can also been combined with a 4, 8 or 16 channel processor or multiplexer making it excellent for leisure centres or other applications where recorded evidence isn't necessary.
