Full Description This full colour wireless USB camera with night vision (in black & white) is nice and easy to set up and get cracking on with - connect it all up and away you go! The smallish size means it can be used as a hidden camera, or with prominent positioning it makes an ideal deterrent as part of a working home CCTV system.

The bracket on the camera lets you position it on the floor, on the wall, upside down, inside out, back to front, round the bend... with full 90° motion on the base you can fix it almost anywhere, though we don't recommend attaching it to a loaf of bread or anything like that, we don't think the screws would hold it there too well (please note screws are not provided, but if you ask us nicely we might be able to provide a nice bread roll if we have any spare).

We tested this exact package with a parent who wanted to keep an eye on their child at night (sort of like a 'Nanny Cam'), but you can use it for many applications for home or commercial use. Some customers have used it to keep an eye on their dog kennel, while others have used them for a whole host of other weird and wonderful things, like a chap who's hunting for giant spiders in east Asia!

The receiver is about the size of a wallet and connects straight in to most TVs, or you can connect it to your PC using the supplied USB converter.

The USB Capture Device comes with some great software which is network compatible and has motion detection. This will allow you to login from anywhere with an internet connection to check what's going on - including your mobile phone or PDA once it's all set up.

The motion detection part of the software allows you to record only when there is movement, which saves hard drive space. Motion detection is a fantastic feature and uses complex decoding algorithms to... well.. detect motion. That then triggers a record, meaning you don't have to come home and sit in front of a day-long boring video just in case something happened (you can still do that if you want).

The beauty of the USB receiver is that it is easy to use and simply plugs into every computer/PC/laptop with a high speed 2.0 USB connection. Everything you need is in the package you receive.

The covert CCTV camera is only the size of a tennis ball and can be manually focussed which enables you to get the best of pictures. It has a robust weather resistant alloy shell so it can be used outside. It uses a grade A CMOS chip, which means you get clear, crisp images. The cameras will automatically switch from full colour to infra red night vision depending upon the light conditions.

The camera is best used mains power because batteries are an awful lot of work. However, if you desperately need to run it from batteries, you can purchase one of our batteries which will last either 6-8hrs or 36-40 hours(see the optional extra products).
