Seen this item on eBay and having used EnGenius products in the past thought I would give it a try for remote viewing CCTV. The two properties are 500m apart on either side of a busy road and it works really good. EnGenius is an excellent brand however it is quite difficult to set-up as the 84 page pdf instructions have some conflicts from the quick set up guide supplied with the product. The final outcome is well worth the effort!

One of the chaps at SpyCameraCCTV recommended these for my farm as the main barn is 2km away from the house. Works well, great images and thanks to the team for their help!

Full Description The EL-ENS500 from EnGenius is a powerful but cost effective way to set up IP cameras- and many other network devices- over an incredibly long range via wireless. With a clear line of sight between the two devices you can get up to 5km range! This makes it perfectly suited for use on farms and remote properties, where running a cable is simply not an option.

The two devices work by creating a "peer to peer" WiFi link with each other, in effect acting like an invisible cable to carry the data. There is an ethernet port on each unit, so you can easily plug an IP camera into one, and then connect the corresponding unit to your router in another building. You could even connect multiple cameras to the unit via a network switch.
